Semi-automatic technology is over 100 years old! Semi-automatic(aka Self loading)tech is not machine gun full-automatic tech, some firearms merely look similar. Civilian ownership of such firearms are a right, not a privilege. Current "laws" suppressing ownership are blatant infringements. AK-47 Hungarian variant "AMD's" confiscated by Police in Brazil. "Pimped" AMD basically looks stupid, but it is apparent the owner has no viable brain cells to begin with. Police units were: "Rio de Janeiro Military Police’s GETEM (a motorcycle tactical patrol unit of the BPChq, the Shock Police Battalion), and "BOPE (Special Police Operations Battalion)"….No idea how these weapons ended up in the hands of criminals down there...
