Fox: Semi-Auto Ban Propaganda By Hannity Hosts befoul the "conservative"airwaves

McGurk and T,Holder used the talking points of anti-gun nuts aggressively today, bait and switch on the AR-15 as a "machinegun", calling for a ban on normal capacity magazines, justifying going after lawful gun owners by blaming them for the actions of insane madmen misusing firearms; challenging listeners to call in and to "justify why you need" such firearms and/or magazines (direct talking point of the anti-gun nuts). Repeatedly using outlandish examples, such as comparing explosives/destructive devices with firearms ("You can't own a Bazooka, why do you need an AR-15 that can kill a lot of people"), and unfortunately I heard  NO knowledgeable firearms expert challenging them (I would have cleaned their clocks had I been on there and allowed to talk/reason. Not one caller I heard challenged them on the AR-15 as the perfect example of a "Militia Rifle", and is indeed what we Minutemen are supposed to have. I also know that the word "Militia" has been vilified by the usual suspects, like SPLC, who like blurring the line between machineguns and semi-autos, also blur the line between "militia" and racist elements) etc; all the while of course claiming to "support the 2nd Amendment" (a misdirection talking point in the same vein as not blaming veterans for the war - they learned that one after Vietnam). This, and worse, took place on the radio version of the SEAN HANNITY Show. The big money of Bloomberg and Soros are at work, getting the Hollywood types to do ads vilifying firearms, to do as Eric Holder once said "brainwash" the younger crowd against firearms (Shall we call this soap "As the Coat Turns"?). I had heard that the Fox Owner had made calls for banning semi-auto firearms, but have no attribution for it. Could very well be that this Hannity debacle are the first moves in propaganda/mind-control against semi-autos/mags from the Fox camp. The usual suspects and puppet-masters, using the usual useful idiots, and the dead bodies of the innocent victims, to usurp the constitution for their own misbegotten ends. When we are no longer able to have one "behind every blade of grass", slavery will return. This is the last bastion, friends, if we fall, there is no place else to go (paraphrasing Reagan here). If slavery returns, it will not be only for the Black Man, it will be for ALL of us, and the useful idiots cannot see the forest for the trees. Local radio news clips are using all anti-NRA comments, I have yet to hear one pro, not to mention they are quoting out of context and even attributing statements Wayne LaPierre never made (See the complete speech first, hear what he actually said, rather than the spin. It is here). So much for the "unbiased" media. They could not even wait, even during the speech , these so-called "Journalists" were using Twitter to abuse, insult and downplay LaPierre/NRA and the common sense proposals being espoused (See link below for proof). These yellow journalists hate NRA because they call them on their bias. An example of this, like the radio examples previously mentioned, continue these "sins of omission". There must be another "talking point" being circulated, because I heard on 4 occasions the same bit about Police engaging in a gunfight at Columbine, where it is implied that since they did not stop the murders, the idea of armed protectors at schools is an invalid remedy. Bull. Media Bias/Mind Control is a fact, and "spiking"/downplaying stories is common especially if it does not fit the sinister gun-ban agenda. On this issue, a commentator posted these examples you may have never heard of to prove this point. Rationalists, take note:

This correspondent received an email from a source purported to be forwarded from Lawrence G. Keane, Senior Vice President, Assistant Secretary and General Counsel for the National Shooting Sports Foundation, which stated:

I just heard that Sen. Feinstein’s attorney is meeting right now with folks from FTB and ATF legal (Eric Epstein [legal], Todd Martin [Legal] and Earl Griffith [FTB] and others) to discuss a new SAW ban, that she would want to start pushing through as soon as (if) Obama gets reelected.

- - No grandfathering
- - No sale permissible if in possession

This includes the so-called “assault weapons” that President Clinton banned from 1994-2004. Today many American manufacturers produce what anti-gun groups call “assault rifles"...the president is in over his head here. He doesn’t understand American history or very much at all about the firearms 80 million Americans own...Let’s hear what else he had to say..."Part of it is seeing if we can get an assault weapons ban reintroduced.”...Obama seems to know that stopping law-abiding Americans from buying firearms that look a certain way isn’t going to stop criminals, but he wants to curb Second Amendment freedoms anyway...Obama attempts to explain his contradictions by saying...we need to get “automatic weapons” out of the hands of criminals. The thing is, unless someone has a Class 3 Federal Firearms License (these are very difficult to get), they can’t own automatic weapons. So again, Obama doesn’t know what he’s talking about, which makes people wonder if he wants to ban all semi-automatic firearms...

Kaziranga staff gets self-loading rifles to fight poachers

With rhino poachers giving sleepless nights to forest guards manning the Kaziranga National Park (KNP), the Assam government has armed the Assam Forest Protection Force (AFPF) personnel with 200 SLRs (Self-loading rifle) besides dispatching additional force to the wildlife protection area that is recognised as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Tuesday ceremonially handed over 50 SLRs to the AFPF personnel in Guwahati. Gogoi expressed confidence that reinforcement of forces, armed with sophisticated weapons, would further strengthen security in all the 152 camps inside the Kaziranga National Park (KNP). "The forest personnel with their sophisticated weapons will be able to match the firepower of poachers and help to protect the rhinos in their natural habitats," he said.

Firearms magazine ‘truly sorry’ for saying ‘pocket sized machine gun’ not for civilians

The editor of a firearms magazine is backing down after saying that civilians should not be allowed to purchase the MP7A1 — a concealable submachine gun that was specifically designed to penetrate body armor — because the weapon had no “sporting applications.”
“[T]he MP71A [sic] is unavailable to civilians and for good measure,” Editor Jerry Tsai wrote in the latest issue of Recoil magazine. “We all know that’s technology no civvies should ever get to lay their hands on. This is a purpose-built weapon with no sporting applications to speak of.”
Heckler & Koch began manufacturing the MP7 series of personal defense weapons in 2001 after high-quality body armor rendered earlier submachine guns ineffective. Gunslot describes the MP7A1 as a “scaled down assault rifle”... Soldiers with access to weapons are being used by crime syndicates to help steal them, a security expert says. Anti-Gun Politicians shelve bill (SB249) Semi-Auto De-Facto Ban in CA

A last-minute proposal to restrict assault rifles in California in the wake of mass shootings in Colorado and Wisconsin has been shelved for the year by state lawmakers.

Assault (Weapon) rifle is a term that Sugarmann and some of his colleagues demonized in the early 1990s because they knew a lot of ordinary people confuse it with “machine gun.” (I describe this episode in some detail in a recent book.) Fully automatic machine guns, which spray bursts of bullets with a single pull of the trigger, are already illegal. In this context, “assault weapon” is nothing more than a scary-sounding synonym for a semiautomatic military-style rifle. Round-for-round, a semiautomatic military-style rifle is no more powerful or dangerous than a traditional wooden-stock deer-hunting rifle. (Traditional deer-hunting rifles, as it happens, are derived directly from military-style weapons of an earlier era.)
We tried banning assault weapons from 1994 through 2004, when the ban expired. Associated Press Perpetuates ‘Assault Weapon’ Lie in Journalist’s Stylebook (Dan Roberts Expose-Ammoland)

While performing research for an article about modern sporting rifles, I stumbled upon the Associated Press (AP) “Stylebook”, that appears to be the foundation of where the “assault weapon” lie originates in journalism...
The so called “assault weapon“ phrase is a deliberate and cynical ploy to mislead and confuse the American Public over an entire class of firearms that Gun Banners don’t like.

“The semi-automatic weapon’s menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons — anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun — can only increase that chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.” ~ Josh Sugarmann - Violence Policy Center

But with origin of this meme so factually clear and deceptive, why do so many supposedly educated journalists keep misusing the term “assault weapon“ when talking about America’s most commonly owned firearms?
Apparently the Associated Press is the source of the problem!
They clearly direct all Journalist to keep misusing the Term “assault weapon“ in their published 2012 Stylebook. The AP Stylebook is a resource and definition guide, published and distributed to 10,000′s of media outlets, print, online and television Nationwide, for use by journalists, reporters, students and editorial staff to promote correct formatting and accurate reporting of news stories.
From the 2012 Associated Press Stylebook Press Release:

“Updated regularly since its initial publication in 1953, the AP Stylebook is a must-have reference for writers, editors, students and professionals. It provides fundamental guidelines for spelling, language, punctuation, usage and journalistic style. It is the definitive resource for journalists. “

This so called “definitive resource for journalists” has it wrong!
From the 2012 AP Stylebook:

“Assault Weapon: A semi-automatic firearm similar in appearance to a fully automatic firearm or military weapon. Not synonymous with assault rifle, which can be used in fully automatic mode. Wherever possible, be specific about the type of weapon: semi-automatic rifle, semi-automatic shotgun or semi-automatic pistol.”...

  Accompanying the cry for more gun control was the same litany of intentionally mis-represented “facts“, overly emotional rhetoric and ignorance laced commentary by individuals and media alike, for whom things like basic fact checking and the barest adherence to the truth are apparently foreign concepts.
The inclusion and perpetuation of the made up term “assault weapons” by AP Stylebook cuts straight to the heart of the issue. Not holding to the truth.  The facts are this is a made up term.
From Gun Facts, a quick reference guide for civil libertarians on gun control issues. They define an “assault weapon” as follows.

An “assault weapon” is an invented term. In the firearm lexicon, there is no such thing as an “assault weapon.” The closest relative is the “assault rifle,” which is a machine gun or “select fire” rifle that fires rifle cartridges. In most cases so-called “assault weapons” are cosmetically similar to military guns but are functionally identical to and less powerful than hunting rifles.”

Wikipedia, not the most reliable source and one that has liberal left leanings, has this to say:

““Assault weapons” is a political term, often used by gun control advocates, typically referring to firearms “designed for rapidly firing at human targets from close range,” sometimes described as military-style features useful in combat.”...

 Thus creating and leaving the impression amongst readers or viewers that the firearm in question is an actual military grade assault rifle, capable of fully automatic, machine gun type rates of fire. Remember Sugarmann’s quote and CNN being caught intentionally creating exactly that impression.

This isn’t journalism, it’s pure propaganda, plain and simple. Its’s a shameful betrayal of even the most basic adherence to any semblance to journalistic integrity and ethics. And it needs to be exposed....
